holy week

As we now enter the most sacred time of our year we realise that this  Holy Week is going to be very different for everybody, especially as the ceremonies of Triduum will not be public liturgies.  We shall be live streaming all the liturgies on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Saturday Easter Vigil but various alterations will naturally need to take place.

last supper

On Maundy Thursday, 9th April, Mass of the Lord's Supper 8.00pm,
there shall be no washing of feet or processing to an Altar of Repose.

good friday

On Good Friday, 10th April, Solemn Liturgy 3.00pm, the main celebrant
is the only person to venerate the Crucifix. We do encourage everybody
who joins us for the Liturgy to have a Crucifix at home and maybe
venerate this in the same way the priest does at during the ceremony.

We will also be live-streaming
Stations of the Cross at 8.00pm on Good Friday evening

holy saturday

On Saturday Easter Vigil, 11th April, 8.00pm, there shall be no fire
or procession, no Sacraments of Initiation celebrated
(Baptisms or Confirmation).

We do have Candidates in our parish who have journeyed through
the R.C.I.A. in preparation to be received this night, but that now
shall take place at a later date.

'As we ride on in majesty to Jerusalem, as we imitate our servant
king and adore our Eucharistic Saviour, as we are there when they
crucify our Lord, as we rise to announce that battle is o’er and hell’s
armies flee, let our faith be strong and our hope be sure, today
and always.' (Archbishop John Wilson)

easter sunday

On Easter Sunday, 12th April we will celebrate Holy Mass at 10.45am

POLISH MASS: We shall not be celebrating the Polish Mass on
Easter Sunday but we shall be having Polish Mass on
Easter Monday, 13th April 12.00pm noon.

There is no blessing of Easter Breakfast on Saturday but a prayer
that can be used at home can be found on the
Polish section of the website.
